Schedule

Full-Time | Monday–Thursday In Office | Friday Work From Home

Position Summary

AMIT is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Coordinator to support its Accounting team. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department by providing administrative, financial, and operational support. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and is committed to accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Accounting team.
  • Coordinate Finance Committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas and meeting materials, and managing meeting logistics.
  • Maintain invoice tracking, payment schedules, and organized financial records.
  • Process online donations and accurately enter gifts into Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
  • Maintain accurate donor database records and departmental filing systems.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, invoices, mailings, and other business documents.
  • Assist with registration, payment tracking, and administrative support for organizational events.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit, finance, or professional office environment.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Mail Merge.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Experience supporting accounting or financial operations is strongly preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: In person at AMIT’s New York City headquarters.
  • Friday: Remote work from home.
  • Occasional evening and weekend event support required.
