New position: COMMUNICATIONS AND PROGRAM ASSOCIATEPart-time contract - Average of 25-30 hours/weekStart date: early January 2025MISSIONThe National Council of Jewish Women Minnesota (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers andadvocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for socialjustice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individualrights and freedoms.OVERVIEWThis is a part-time contract position (25-30 hours/ week). The Communications and Program Associatewill work with the Executive Director to develop and manage communications for the organization andto support the coordination of programs and events.RESPONSIBILITIES1. Digital communicationsa. Manage a robust presence on social media, including responses to breaking news,legislative developments, fundraising efforts, and organizational awareness building.b. Help prepare and disseminate regular electronic newsletters and eblasts, as neededc. Monitor accounts to see if there are messages or comments in need of response orposts from NCJW or partners/coalitions to amplify our reach2. Website management & bloga. Update events, action opportunities, and other content as needed, with an eye ondriving engagement and website traffic.3. Program-supporta. Create and share/post event or program announcements/promotion and registrationforms in Bloomerang and/or Sign Up Genius, including confirmation email (as needed).i. Post to website or other locationsb. Work with ED or a volunteer to coordinate details and participants for programs(monthly webinars or in-person programs, annual spring event, leadership developmentprograms)c.
