Job Title: Manager of Outpatient Therapy Services

Department: Therapy

Job Objective:

The Manager of Outpatient Therapy Services provides operational, administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership for Mozaic Senior Life's outpatient therapy services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology. This role supports high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing innovation, access, growth, and financial sustainability. The Manager partners closely with leadership to strengthen services, enhance performance, and support Mozaic's mission and community impact.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Master's degree preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of progressive clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient therapy setting.

Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, supervision, or program coordination.

Experience supporting program growth, innovation, or performance improvement.

Experience working with interdisciplinary therapy teams preferred.

Licensure: Connecticut Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Program Leadership & Growth
    1. Support the planning, development, and enhancement of outpatient therapy services.
    2. Identify opportunities for program innovation, service line growth, and improved access.
    3. Monitor market trends, referral patterns, and community needs to inform program decisions.
    4. Collaborate with leadership on new initiatives, pilots, and service enhancements.
  2. Clinical Excellence & Quality
    1. Promote evidence-based, outcomes-driven therapy services across all disciplines.
    2. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and whole-person, patient-centered care.
    3. Support quality improvement initiatives and consistent clinical standards.
    4. Encourage innovation in care delivery models and patient experience.

  1. Operational & Financial Performance
    1. Manage day-to-day outpatient therapy operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
    2. Monitor productivity benchmarks, utilization, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    3. Participate in budget planning, expense oversight, and operational performance reviews.
    4. Implement strategies to improve efficiency, access, and financial performance.

  1. Community Engagement & Partnerships
    1. Support and strengthen referral relationships and community partnerships.
    2. Collaborate with internal Mozaic programs to ensure integrated, coordinated care.
    3. Participate in outreach, marketing, and visibility efforts as appropriate.
  2. Regulatory, Compliance & Risk Oversight
    1. Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, licensure requirements, and payer standards.
    2. Maintain readiness for audits, surveys, and internal reviews.
    3. Support accurate documentation and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  3. Talent Development & Team Culture
    1. Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of therapy staff.
    2. Provide supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to assigned team members.
    3. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
    4. Promote staff engagement, professional growth, and retention.

Physical and Mental Requirements:


  1. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  2. Ability to speak clearly and be understood.
  3. Ability to bend, stoop and push, pull, lower, guide heavy people.
  4. Able to hear sounds with some background noise, such as the phone, intercom, etc.
  5. Visual acuity to see a computer and read printed documents.

  7. Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
  8. Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  9. Ability to understand and relate to the reasons behind several related concepts.

Ability to perform tasks which require hand eye coordination such as keyboard skills, writing or picking up paper.
