Description

Please note, we are currently considering both Coordinator and Manager level applicants for this position.

The Program Coordinator/Manager provides project management support for Moving Traditions Transformative Learning Communities to help reach programmatic goals with efficiency and excellence. They are responsible for coordinating and managing program, event, and database logistics. They ensure that all projects for and related to TLC work are managed effectively. This position is suited for a self-motivated individual with both a collaborative approach and solution- and systems-oriented mindset and skills to help grow, further develop, and implement innovative programs.

ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY

Established in 2005, Moving Traditions emboldens Jewish youth by fostering self-discovery, challenging sexism, and inspiring a commitment to Jewish life and learning. We advance our mission by investing in the Jewish community, partnering with synagogues, JCCs, camps, and other institutions, training clergy and Jewish educators to implement our programming so that preteens and teens will grow and thrive. By promoting a more inclusive and expansive view of gender and identity for Jewish youth of all genders, we create a more vibrant, engaging Judaism that helps all pre-teens and teens to flourish. To date, Moving Traditions has emboldened more than 40,000 Jewish youth and trained more than 2,650 adults to implement our suite of programs, including the B-Mitzvah Family Education Program and our Teen Groups: Rosh Hodesh for girls, Shevet for boys, and Tzelem for LGBTQ+ teens. Kulam is a plug-and-play curriculum for educators to use in Hebrew Schools and camps. Our teen changemaker opportunities include the Meyer-Gottesman Kol Koleinu Teen Feminist Fellowship, Kumi: Foundation / Exploration, and jGirls+ Magazine. CultureShift training is available for those who work with Jewish youth at camp and elsewhere about how to navigate gender, healthy boundaries, and more.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Serve as internal connector for the TLC programs.
  2. Project management support responsibilities for TLC programs include but are not limited to: developing project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation, coordinating team meetings, helping to deliver projects on time within budget and scope, proactively communicating upcoming deadlines, and troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure all deliverables are met.
  3. Planning for webinar events and teen in-person retreats, including venue selection, travel, logistics and coordination with Finance & Operations on the travel subsidy process.
  4. Support management of participant recruitment, selection, and registration processes; coordinate with Finance & Operations on the scholarship process.
  5. Liaise with Communications and Development teams to ensure accurate program representation on website and in external communications and to ensure collateral material is provided.
  6. Collaborate with broader Program and Partnership team to standardize practices and processes to enhance efficiency.
  7. Coordinate evaluation processes in collaboration with the TLC program directors and Database Administrator/evaluation lead.
  8. Ensure participant and event information is up to date, accurate, and properly integrated into database.
  9. Provide administrative support for the TLC team such as tool-building and communications with participants, prospective participants, parents of program participants, program applicants, event location staff, mentors, and other parties as needed.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE SKILL REQUIRED

  • Embrace Moving Traditions’ mission
  • 2-4 years program management experience, or equivalent
  • Excellent spoken and written communications skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with colleagues, at a fast pace
  • Ability to occasionally attend and support Moving Traditions educational events, which can occur on Sundays or in the evenings
  • Strong program management skills, including organization, time management, defining and setting priorities, and problem-solving.
  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office/365, Wordpress, Formstack (or similar form-building program), Zoom webinar
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM
  • Comfort with an online environment, including learning new programs
  • Previous experience with Moving Traditions’ programs is a plus

COMPENSATION

Compensation at Moving Traditions is determined based on the salary band for the role. The salary range for this role is between $50,000 – 65,000, depending on level of experience. Moving Traditions provides a generous benefits package, including paid time off for vacation and sick leave, many Jewish holidays and major national holidays. We offer 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits, and STD/Life insurance and FSA participation. Additionally, after a year of employment, employees are eligible for paid parental leave and a 401K employer contribution.


APPLICATION PROCESS

The process for the hired applicant will include the following steps:

  • Submission of a Resume as well as a Cover Letter.
  • Applicants moved forward will have a phone screening with a member of Human Resources team.
  • Applicants that move forward from the screening interview will have a first-round interview with the Hiring Manager.
  • Applicants that move forward from the first-round interview will have second-round interviews with members of the Program & Partnership Teams.
  • The final round interview will be with the CEO.
  • Three professional references will be requested at the end of the interview process.
