Program Director for Workforce Development Learn and Earn Program

Status: Full-Time, In-Person

Reports to Director of Operations and Program Coordinator

Annual Salary: $57,000 - $60,000, commensurate with education and experience

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

The Mosholu Montefiore Community Center (MMCC) is a vital community resource that changes the course of lives of Bronx and Manhattan residents to a degree not otherwise possible. Each year, we serve more than 40,000 preschoolers, school age children, teens, adults and senior citizens through our support, enrichment, education, and recreation programs, expanding their opportunities to live full, productive lives.

Major Responsibilities:

· Ensure a welcoming environment in multiple assigned programs and sites; promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

· Develop, implement, and achieve enrollment and outcome goals identified in assigned programs; collect and maintain all data regarding assigned programs

· Coordinate attainment, recruitment, intake, selection, retention in all projects as a whole

· Manage day to day operation of multiple programs by analyzing program data, tracking program attendance, mentoring relationships and other performance for participants and program staff.

· Budget management, reporting, and monitoring

· Overseeing of facility operations at site. Knowledge and enforcement of all safety protocols.

· Develop program marketing plan including mailings, advertisements, and community outreach

· Oversee and conduct ongoing program member evaluations and surveys to ensure that high levels of quality in programs are maintained at all times; ensure outcomes align with the needs of the community and the Agency and funders’ strategic plan

· Ensure programs operate in accordance with Federal, State and local requirements, funders’ requirements and MMCC’s Best Practices

· Prepare for all program audits (internal and external) and review

· recommendations for implementation

· Recruit and hire staff using screening tools and panel interview to gain the best possible fit with each opening

· Provide direct supervision to program staff, assuring that staff are qualified, certified and are meeting performance standards for their position; ongoing staff development and performance evaluations; disciplinary action when needed. Knowledge, modeling, and enforcement of all agency policies.

· Provide training for staff and volunteers on an ongoing basis through staff meetings and workshops

· Monitor and approve payrolls for all assigned staff

· Ensure all staff members are familiar with programs offered at MMCC so staff can inform clients about MMCC programs that will meet members’ changing needs and interests

· Relationship building with all program stakeholders including funders, employers and internship sites, schools, and other community-based organizations, etc.

· Ensure that multiple funders have accurate and up to date information. Meet all reporting deadlines

· Professionally represent MMCC at all funder meetings, professional development, and community meetings

· All other related duties as it pertains to managing programs.

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 2 years of relevant experience

● Strong knowledge of community resources.
