Case Manager
For Restorative Justice Program
Status: Full-Time, In-Person
Reports to Program Director
Annual Salary: $45,000 to $47,000, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift, after school and evening hours, occasional Saturdays
The Mosholu Montefiore Community Center (MMCC) is a vital community resource that changes the course of lives of Bronx and Manhattan residents to a degree that is not otherwise possible. Each year, we serve more than 40,000 preschoolers, school-aged children, teens, adults and senior citizens through our support, enrichment, education, and recreation programs, expanding their opportunities to live full, productive lives.

Summary:
The Case Manager will provide a variety of restorative interventions that reduce and eliminate further involvement in the juvenile and/or adult justice system. Services will vary depending on each individual and may include the following: mentoring/one-to-one contact/positive role model intervention; school attendance support; weekly check ins, family referral and support; skill building classes and activities; organize and facilitate youth activities; case management support; organize and support community service opportunities; provide workshops, screenings and assessments; and provide restorative interventions that reduce and eliminate further involvement in the justice system.
Responsibilities:
● Work collaboratively with team members and referring agencies.
● Maintain caseload of program participants.
● Maintain records and progress reporting systems in compliance with agency standards.
● Communicate with Department of Probation (DOP), courts and referring partners on a regular basis, verbally or in writing, as needed or requested.
● Maintain procedures that protect confidentiality and personal boundaries
● Attend meetings and training as required
● Document youth behavior and activities as directed
● Collaborate with the DOE (Department of Education) administration
● Complete all required forms, correspondence and reports in a timely manner and retain copies of such writings in an organized format
● Participate in agency meetings and events as directed.
● Supervise a team of mentors, including providing individual and group supervision as well as on-going professional development
● Facilitate intake and assessment meetings with participants
● Complete other duties assigned by the Program Director
● Recruit participant for the programs
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, criminal justice, youth development, or related field preferred.
● Training and education in substance abuse, youth development, and the criminal justice system (may be substituted for education requirements)
● Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to relate well with youth, and
● High standards for maintaining personal boundaries and confidentiality.
● High level of organization, strong time management, record keeping, and computer skills.
● Self-starter and high motivation.
● Knowledge of community resources.
● Ability to work a flexible schedule; some evening and weekend work may be required based on individual referrals.
