About Us:
Mid-Island Y JCC Early Childhood Center is a warm and welcoming early childhood center dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. We believe in fostering curiosity, independence, and kindness in every child.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring and reliable Part-Time Early Childhood Closers to join our team. The closer plays a key role in the afternoon program, ensuring children end their day in a safe and supportive environment. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for steady part-time hours.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old during afternoon activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Support children during transitions, snack, and pick-up time.
• Communicate positively with children, families, and staff.
• Ensure smooth closing procedures for the classroom and center.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Friendly, patient, and dependable personality.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
• Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
