About Us:
We are excited to announce the opening of a brand new, high-quality special needs preschool into the heart of the community. The mission of the Adler Special Children’s School is to create an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child receives individualized attention so they can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
What We Are Looking For:
A Behavior Specialist who is passionate about fostering children’s development and contributing to the inaugural team of this new center-based program. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, families, and supporting staff to create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop individualized, evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
· Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to guide instructional and behavioral decisions.
· Maintain accurate and up to date behavioral data and progress notes.
· Train and coach teachers and related service providers in PBS/PBIS strategies.
· Integrate PBS/PBIS principles into classrooms and schoolwide behavior support systems.
· Provide direct and indirect support to students in classroom and therapy sessions.
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families to implement interventions consistently across environments.
· Engage families through regular communication, training, and progress updates.
· Ensure interventions comply with relevant laws and regulations.
· Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or other related field
· Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), Certified Behavior Analyst Assistant (CBBA) or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be considered.
· Strong knowledge of ABA principles, PBS/PBIS frameworks, early childhood development, and special education practices.
· Experience working with preschool aged children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and other special needs.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday 8:00-3:30 pm
