Full job description

Summary:

Conduct different sports activities with campers ages 4-13 on regulation size and junior size athletic fields.

Essential Functions:

Provide encouragement during coaching and help children develop a healthy understanding of a variety of sports including but not limited to Soccer, Baseball, Football, Kickball, Basketball and Lacrosse. Help children grow and develop new skills. Safety is of the utmost importance. Ensure the safe use of equipment and manage participation among all campers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not supervise any other camp staff.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time seasonal position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday from 8:10 am- 4:10 pm.

Required Education and Experience

Experience working with children is required

Must be 21 years of age and preferably a college graduate

Experience working at a summer camp is strongly preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

Sports or coaching background required

Strong interpersonal skills

Positive attitude, outgoing and energetic

Good communication with co-workers, parents and supervisors

Must be comfortable being outdoors.
