A mission-driven, growth-focused university is seeking a strategic Chief Business Officer (CFO) to lead its financial operations. This is a high-impact role for an experienced finance leader eager to help shape the future of an innovative, sustainability-focused institution delivering online education nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial reporting
• Advise the CEO and leadership team on long-term fiscal strategy
• Manage and mentor a small, high-performing finance team
• Expand non-tuition revenue streams (e.g., campus store, farm operations)
• Implement strong financial controls and process improvements
• Align planning with a continuous 8-week academic cycle
• Navigate and enhance a Salesforce-based financial system (STRATUS)
• Collaborate across departments to support data-informed decisions

Qualifications

• 10+ years in finance/accounting, including 5+ in executive leadership
• Experience in complex organizations with $100M+ budgets
• Background in online education or tech/startups preferred
• CPA preferred; Salesforce system experience a plus
• Proven ability to lead in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
