This is ideal for the college senior or Master’s student working towards a career in physical education/sports/kinesiology, who is available in weekday afternoons, 8-10 hours a week and need extra CASH!
Merage Jewish Community Center is a fast-paced, family-oriented, nonprofit, and located in a 220,000 square foot facility with Orange County’s finest after school program - Club J.
We provide services to the community including fitness, sports leagues, aquatics, camps, preschool, and cultural arts. Our employees are able to use the facilities – one of many benefits of working here.
Our Club J afterschool program offers a variety classes, i.e. academics, science, history, sports, Judaic, language, performance arts and cultural arts; 18-24 classes within an 8-week session during the calendar school year. Each enrichment class is run by a qualified educator and instructor with specialized skills.
The afterschool enrichment program Sports Coach, as a team member in education for our Sports Classes is responsible for providing fun, engaging sport activities in a safe environment, that promotes teamwork, skill building, and respect of one’s own abilities; will provide curriculum and lesson plans while maintaining equipment and set up for all Sports Programs.
Club J GOAL- is helping our student develop self-confidence in sports performance.
Experience: Sports coaching experience in a paid or voluntary capacity, a level one coaching qualification or qualified course credits.
Skills: Must be self-motivated and the ability to enthuse a wide range of participants.
