Leads and coordinates individual or group adult fitness/physical training sessions.Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and lead sessions; set up/monitor equipment; advise participants on procedures/policies; distribute handouts/evaluations; track client progress and maintain files; ensure safety and injury prevention; report accidents; perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year related experience; recognized competency in instructional specialty; may require technical certification (AFAA, ACE, NETA, NASM, etc.). Higher degrees may substitute for experience.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: First aid procedures; interpersonal/communication skills; records maintenance; fitness education methods; exercise principles/technology; equipment operation/maintenance; administrative paperwork; safety procedures.Conditions of Employment: CPR within 2 months; discipline-specific licensure/certifications as required; pre-employment background check.Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Extensive physical activity; heavy lifting >50 lbs; minimal exposure to risks; possible exposure to elements (temperature, dirt/dust/fumes/noise).
