POSITION PURPOSE: The Chief Executive Officer of the Merage Jewish Community Center serves as a dynamic, transformational, and participative leader dedicated to advancing the Center's mission of strengthening Jewish life and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community. As the public face of the JCC, the CEO communicates a compelling vision and ensures its alignment with strategic goals, representing a positive brand image in the marketplace and community. They actively engage and guide the Board Chair and Board of Directors, supporting the recruitment, development, and training of board members. With a strong commitment to ethical leadership, transparency, and integrity, the CEO effectively manages resources and cultivates collaborative relationships with Jewish and non-Jewish organizations alike.MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY include: 1) Strategic Leadership & Vision; 2) Board Engagement & Governance; 3) Organizational Management & Staff Development; 4) Operational Oversight (Fundraising & Event Management; Finance & Controls; Programming; Membership Enrollment & Marketing; Security & Risk Management; Facilities Management); 5) Planning, Development, and Growth; 6) Community Relations.PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 10+ years of executive leadership experience in Jewish nonprofit/communal orgs; strategic planning & vision; fundraising expertise; financial & operational management; board relations; commitment to Judaism and Israel; community engagement; cultural sensitivity; transparency & integrity; staff development; communication skills; role modeling; team leadership; organizational culture.Please answer the following pre-qualifying questions when applying (3 questions provided on the page).EDUCATION (Preferred): Advanced degree in Jewish Professional Studies, Nonprofit Management, or related field; Bachelor's in Psychology, Business, or equivalent.
