The Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County in Irvine, CA seeks a Specialist for the JCC Waves Swimming Team and Aquatics Department. Duties focus on bridging swimmer development from lessons to team, identifying committed families, and fostering talent into the 10 & under competition group to build a strong base of swimmers.Responsibilities: Teach/modify/execute 9 & under age-group program; systematize movement from lessons to team; primary coach for Splash and assist Fitness I; create daily workouts and set up pool; collaborate/substitute as needed; provide positive, challenging atmosphere; treat all swimmers equitably; attend additional practices in summer/holidays; create competitive environment with stroke acquisition/training priority; manage meet entries/results/times in Team Unify; set goals in fall/spring; maintain positive/supportive attitude with staff/swimmers/parents; clock hours in ADP; create content via email/social media/website; strong MS Office and social media skills; organized with strong customer service and communication.Compensation: Part-time, 16 hours/week at $18.00; swim meet sessions for 10 & under up to 4 per month; additional meet sessions as needed; continuing education classes paid (memberships/travel may not be included).
