The Merage JCC in Irvine seeks a Specialist for the JCC Waves Swim Team and Aquatics Department. Duties: pioneer swimmer development from lessons to team; identify committed families; foster talent into 10 & under competition group; teach/modify/execute 9 & under age group program; move candidates from lessons to team via systematic process; primary coach for Splash and assist Fitness I; create workouts and set up pool; collaborate/substitute as needed; provide positive, challenging atmosphere; treat all swimmers equally; attend additional practices; create competitive environment with stroke acquisition/training; manage meet entries/results/time improvements via Team Unify; develop goals; maintain positive/supportive attitude; clock hours in ADP; create content (email, social media, team website); strong computer skills; organized; customer service and communication skills; dedication to Aquatic Community. Compensation: Part-time ~16 hrs/week at $18.00; 10 & under swim meet sessions (up to 4/month); additional sessions as needed; continuing education classes paid (memberships/travel not generally included).
