Year-round Swim Instructors for the Merage JCC. Supportive staff and fun aquatic culture. Facility includes health/fitness complex, preschool/toddler care, teen center, gymnasium, swimming pool, senior center, adult education rooms, professional-style theater and auditorium with banquet facilities. Programs celebrate family, health/well-being, tradition, friendships, and cultural horizons in a safe, positive, friendly, inviting environment. Responsibilities: Implement curriculum for lessons with individual plan for instruction to enable lifetime safety in/around water; maintain highest integrity, safety and values in interactions with children, parents and staff; report to work 15 minutes prior to each shift; wear uniform; answer basic emails/calls about lessons; set up teaching areas; clean/maintain pool areas; be knowledgeable regarding progression/personal plan curriculum; contact parents with updates consistently. Requirements/Traits: Swimming/Teaching: 2 years (Preferred) or equivalent; 18+ and high school graduate; fun, friendly, outgoing; reliable; energetic; great team player; experience with swimming or children (ideally both). Customer Service: greet members; communicate effectively; build relationships with families; handle complaints gracefully; work with staff to report complaints; lead by example using a customer-focused principle.
