Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour. Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County is a fast-paced family-oriented non-profit with Orange County’s finest after school program - Club J, and summer camp - Camp Haverim. Services include fitness, sports leagues, aquatics, camps, preschool, cultural arts. Employees may use the facilities. Club J afterschool program offers multiple classes (academics, science, history, sports, Judaic, language, performance arts, cultural arts) with 18–24 classes within an 8-week session. Each class is led by a qualified educator/instructor. Qualifications: Assist instructors and programming; strong customer service (outgoing, friendly, self-confident, mature); self-motivated and engaging; ability to enthuse a wide range of participants; excellent organizational and multitasking skills; strong communication; experience in childcare/ECE or related field; if under 18, Work Permit; LiveScan, CPR, AED, and First Aid certified or willing upon hire. Physical Demands: Talk/hear; full use of hands/fingers; reach; occasional moving/lifting/carrying 10–40 lbs; walking/standing up to 4 hours at a time with break; squatting, bending, stooping; reaching overhead while balancing approx. 10 lbs; pushing/pulling approx. 10 lbs; close/distance/peripheral vision.
