Position Purpose: Lead the Merage Jewish Community Center as a dynamic, transformational, and participative leader advancing the mission of strengthening Jewish life and fostering an inclusive community. Act as the public face of the JCC, align vision with strategic goals, and engage the Board and community. Major areas: Strategic Leadership & Vision; Board Engagement & Governance; Organizational Management & Staff Development; Operational Oversight (fundraising, finance/HR, programming, membership/marketing, security/risk, facilities); Planning, Development & Growth; Community Relations. Primary qualifications: 10+ years executive leadership in Jewish nonprofit/communal orgs with experience across camps, preschool/ECE, fitness/sports, and large facilities; strategic planning and crisis leadership; strong fundraising and financial/operational management; board relations; deep commitment to Judaism and Israel; community engagement; cultural sensitivity; transparency and integrity; staff development; excellent communication and team leadership. Pre-qualifying questions required; preferred education includes advanced degree in Jewish Professional Studies/Nonprofit Management; preferred certifications and communal involvement.
