POSITION PURPOSE: The Chief Executive Officer of the Merage Jewish Community Center serves as a dynamic, transformational, and participative leader dedicated to advancing the Center's mission of strengthening Jewish life and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community. As the public face of the JCC, the CEO communicates a compelling vision, engages and guides the Board, and models ethical leadership, transparency, and integrity. Major areas: Strategic Leadership & Vision; Board Engagement & Governance; Organizational Management & Staff Development; Operational Oversight (fundraising, finance, programming, membership & marketing, security & risk, facilities); Planning, Development, and Growth; Community Relations. PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years executive leadership in Jewish nonprofit/communal orgs; strategic planning; fundraising; financial/operational management; board relations; commitment to Judaism and Israel; community engagement; cultural sensitivity; transparency & integrity; staff development; communication; team leadership; organizational culture. EDUCATION preferred: advanced degree in Jewish Professional Studies/Nonprofit Management or related; bachelor's in psychology, business, or equivalent. CERTIFICATIONS/ACHIEVEMENTS preferred: certifications in Jewish education/leadership; involvement in communal boards.
