The MMJCCM is looking for a seasoned fundraising professional to serve as Senior Director of Major Gifts. This role is responsible for managing a significant portfolio of individual donors, advancing major gift fundraising, and strengthening donor engagement in partnership with colleagues across the organization.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Senior Director of Major Gifts plays a key role in executing individual giving strategies, supporting institutional fundraising priorities, and cultivating meaningful relationships with donors and prospects. This position is well-suited for a collaborative, detail-oriented fundraiser who enjoys hands-on donor work and thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects
- Develop and implement individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
- Solicit and close gifts of $25,000 and more, with opportunities to partner on larger solicitations
- Serve as a senior fundraising partner for the JCC's signature fundraising events, with a focus on donor engagement, solicitation, and follow-up
- Collaborate with program, engagement, and marketing colleagues to align donor interests with institutional priorities
- Maintain accurate and timely donor records, moves management, and reporting in the CRM (Daxko)
- Represent the Development team in cross-departmental meetings and internal initiatives as needed
- Support a culture of relationship-centered fundraising, collaboration, and shared responsibility across the Development team

REQUIREMENTS
- 8–10 years of experience in individual fundraising
- Demonstrated success managing donor portfolios and closing major gifts
- Experience supporting fundraising events and donor engagement initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with donors, volunteers, and internal stakeholders, including people of great wealth.
- Excellent organizational skills and facility with CRM systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Dedication to teamwork

SCHEDULE
- This role is in office 5 days a week in the Upper West Side.
COMPENSATION
- The position offers an annual salary of $130,000 – $160,000, commensurate with experience.
