The MMJCCM is looking for a Director of Tween and Teen Engagement to help create a vibrant, welcoming community for youth in grades 5–12. This dynamic leader will cultivate meaningful relationships with tweens, teens, and their families through thoughtful outreach, engaging programs, and strong partnerships with community organizations. The Director will oversee a year-round calendar of initiatives designed to boost participation and foster a deep sense of belonging. They will collaborate closely with the broader Family Life Department, as well as the Marketing, Registration, and Operations teams. This role reports directly to the VP of Children + Families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver a year-round slate of engaging tween and teen experiences-both on-site and in partnership with community organizations-including leadership councils, service learning, arts and culture, wellness, and Jewish life programming.
- Lead a relationship-driven engagement strategy by building strong, ongoing connections with tweens, teens, and their families, and translating their interests into meaningful programs.
- Communicate regularly with youth and families to keep them informed, supported, and connected.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with internal JCC departments and external organizations such as local Jewish day schools, public schools, and synagogues.
- Research and understand the local teen landscape and draw inspiration from successful models nationwide to shape compelling, relevant opportunities for both Jewish and general community youth.
- Manage day-to-day program operations, including program registration, room requests, budget tracking, supply orders, payroll for instructors and consultants, room setup and cleanup, and troubleshooting issues such as low enrollment, cancellations, and family or instructor concerns.
- Collaborate with the JCC Marketing Department to promote programs through a consistent schedule of communications and email outreach.
- Serve as a liaison between BBYO, other key partners, and Program Operations to ensure strong coordination and alignment.
- Participate actively in the broader JCC Children + Families team and contribute to the overall JCC staff community.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree in Social Work or a related field a plus
- 3+ years experience working with teens in an after-school program, camp, or other informal education setting.
- Background in Jewish education, with demonstrated familiarity with Jewish traditions, values, and learning methodologies
- Engaging, thoughtful, and creative approach, with the flexibility and emotional attunement needed to support and lead youth programming.
- Genuine enthusiasm for learning about adolescent development, teen engagement strategies, social-emotional learning, and Jewish social services.
- Strong skills in partnership-building, facilitation, and teen leadership development.
- Comfort and confidence curating Jewish educational content for diverse groups of youth, with a demonstrated commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
SCHEDULE
- This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) based on-site Monday–Thursday at the MMJCCM; rotates between one remote Friday and in-person Sunday. Occasional evening hours required.

COMPENSATION
This position offers an annual salary of $67,000-$72,000, commensurate with experience.
