Magen David Yeshivah is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tuition Assistant. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission of providing an exceptional education by managing our tuition aid programs and securing external funding through grant writing.
This is an on site position.
Responsibilities:
Tuition Aid Administration:
Manage the application process for tuition aid, including setting up files, tracking the stages of the process, etc.
Evaluate financial aid applications, analyze family financial data, and determine appropriate aid levels.
Communicate with applicant families regarding the status of their applications and aid decisions.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all tuition aid applications and awards.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for families regarding tuition aid options and the application process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial aid administration or grant writing, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of financial aid principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in Google or Microsoft Office Suite and database management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Sensitivity to confidential information and ability to maintain discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specific student information systems
Knowledge of local and regional funding sources for independent schools.
