DESCRIPTION

Magen David Yeshivah is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Admissions Coordinator to support the admissions process for prospective families. The Assistant Admissions Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Admissions to ensure a seamless and efficient admissions experience for families. This individual will play a key role in welcoming new families, organizing admissions-related events, managing application materials, and providing administrative support throughout the admissions cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing and reviewing student applications, ensuring all required documents are received and complete.

  • Maintain an organized system for tracking applicant information, documents, and communications.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective families, answering inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.

  • Provide clear, timely, and accurate information about the admissions process, school programs, and application timelines.

  • Assist in planning and coordinating admissions events such as open houses, tours, information sessions, and parent interviews.

  • Help with the logistics and organization of events to ensure smooth execution.

  • Update and maintain the admissions database, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

  • Prepare regular reports on application progress, upcoming events, and trends as requested.

  • Assist in preparing acceptance letters, rejection letters, and waitlist communications.

  • Coordinate with the Business Office to ensure a smooth transition for newly accepted students and their families.

  • Work closely with the Director of Admissions and other school staff, such as the Registrar and Finance Department, to ensure all processes are aligned.

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive student and family information.

  • Provide administrative support to the admissions team, including scheduling interviews, assisting with student assessments, and maintaining records.

  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives related to the school’s enrollment goals and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an education setting.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact professionally with families, staff, and other stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with office software and databases ( MS Office, Google and CRMs) is required; experience with admissions software is a plus.

  • An appreciation for the mission and core values of the School.

  • Proficiency in Hebrew language preferred

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating with a team.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • A warm, friendly, and approachable demeanor, with a genuine interest in helping families navigate the admissions process.
