Lubavitch Hebrew Academy is looking for Substitute Teachers for K-8.

We are South Florida premier Jewish Day School. We are a team of educators who inspire 400 students by providing a dual curriculum as well as a supportive and nurturing environment.

Job Description:

We are looking for substitute teachers experienced in teaching K-8. We will provide lesson plans and materials. School hours: Monday-Thursday 8 am - 4 pm. and Fridays 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Full-day, half-day and flexible days options. Substitutes are contacted with as much advance notice as possible. Pay: $150 for full-day; $75 for half-day.

Candidates for this position should:

Be passionate about teaching children. Create a warm, nurturing environment. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Work collaboratively. Possess patience and empathy, especially towards children, their families, and faculty. Foster positive relationships, interactions and communication. Have excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Have the ability to work collaboratively with parents, teachers and our administration

Qualifications:

Applicants should have experience teaching. Demonstrate a knowledge and passion for Torah, mitzvot, and Jewish holidays. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school or other educational setting where there are ongoing interactions with children, parents and educators Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year College/University or current students in Community Colleges or Universities. Charismatic, flexible, and a problem solver.
