Core Functions:

• Provide comprehensive services for students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement screening procedures following rules, regulations, and procedures to identify students who are in need of corrective instruction.
• Use observation, conferences with staff and various assessment techniques to make evaluations.
• Plan and deliver treatment for students with deficiencies in individual and small group settings.
• Provide regular evaluation of students to determine effectiveness of services.
• Accurately produce all records and reports as required by law and regulation or by school.
• Maintain positive, cooperative, and mutually supportive relationships with administration, instructional staff, students and parents with the school and community.
• Adhere to the New York State rules and regulations, schools' policies and procedures and contractual obligations.

• 1-3 years experience in field preferred
• Must be license in NY
• 15-20 hours weekly

A Counselor/social worker will be providing therapeutic services directly to students by developing functional goals, tracking student's progress, and communicating with parents.
