Math Teacher

Job Description


Kohelet Yeshiva, a private Modern Orthodox Jewish High School in Lower Merion, PA, seeks a full-time math teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of math classes, ranging from introductory Algebra up through Calculus. Broader interest in STEM fields like coding, engineering, and robotics a plus! We are looking for a reflective candidate who is passionate about teaching and who enjoys working in an environment that promotes continuing professional learning.

Desired skills and experience include:

  • A degree in math or related field, or a degree in education with coursework in STEM, or experience teaching high school math.

  • Ability to connect with students and convey enthusiasm for content and skills of courses.

  • Ability to support student development as analytical thinkers and researchers.

  • Ability to break down and scaffold content of math courses to maximize student learning.

  • Classroom management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to differentiate content for students with a variety of strengths and skill levels.

  • Comfort with educational technology, including computers and learning management systems, for example Google Classroom.

  • Past teaching experience and certifications in Pennsylvania for math are ideal but not required.
