Middle School Science Teacher
Kohelet Yeshiva | 2026–2027 School Year

Are you the kind of teacher who…

  • Brings science to life for students through hands-on labs, experiments, modeling, and inquiry-based learning?

  • Helps students develop the habits of scientific thinking: questioning, observing, testing, analyzing, and revising their ideas?

  • Sees science not just as a body of knowledge, but as a way for students to better understand the world around them and their place within it

  • Builds strong relationships with students and creates classrooms where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are part of learning, and all voices are valued

If that sounds like you, please keep reading and then reach out to express your interest in joining the team at Kohelet Yeshiva in Lower Merion, PA.

Kohelet Yeshiva is seeking a thoughtful, engaging, and student-centered Middle School Science Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who is excited to help students explore the natural world, develop scientific thinking skills, and build a deep sense of curiosity about how and why things work.

Kohelet Yeshiva is a dual-curriculum K–12 yeshiva day school where the culture empowers student voice, engagement, and growth. Our students divide their time between analytic, text-based Judaic Studies and rigorous, college-preparatory General Studies.

What You’ll Be Part Of

  • A collaborative and supportive faculty team that values reflection and growth

  • A school culture that prioritizes meaningful learning and strong relationships

  • A commitment to helping students become thoughtful, curious, and engaged learners

  • Ongoing professional dialogue about curriculum, instruction, and student development

We’re hoping to meet someone who:

  • Loves science and enjoys helping adolescents make sense of the natural world through inquiry and discovery

  • Creates an engaging classroom where hands-on learning, experimentation, and questioning are central

  • Brings warmth, patience, and enthusiasm for working with middle school students

  • Is excited to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive school community

  • Believes deeply in the potential of middle school students and enjoys working with them at this important stage of growth

  • Holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Science, Science Education, Education, or a related field
