Part-Time Vocational Coordinator
LOCATION: Highland Park, IL
SUPERVISOR: Director of Education, Academic Vocational Coordinator
WAGES: $30/Hour
JOB STATUS: PT/Hourly
SCHEDULE: 2 Days a Week/15 Hours Per Week
JOB SUMMARY: The Vocational Coordinator will work with the Transition Teacher and Director of Education to develop vocational programming within Keshet’s Transition Program. This will include building relationships with businesses and organizations to establish paid and volunteer opportunities for transition students, and staff training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation in accordance with DRS and DHS guidelines.
- Complete required documentation per DRS and DHS.
- Manage grant administration processes and maintain organized, up-to-date records in compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
- Build relationships with businesses and organizations to establish paid and volunteer opportunities.
- Submittal of Grant documentation as required.
- Be respectful and follow Jewish culture and guidelines.
- Adhere to Keshet policies and procedures outlined in the policy manual, Employee Handbook, and other employee policies.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, human services, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- State of Illinois Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) certification
- Vocational programming experience preferred
- Valid IL driver’s license and safe driving record
