POSITION TITLE: Program Manager
PROGRAM: GADOL
SUPERVISOR: Director of Adult Services
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
The GADOL Program Manager plays a critical leadership role in the day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the adult day program. This individual is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality, engaging daily programming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Manager ensures that staff are well-supported and equipped to deliver programming, maintains communication with families and stakeholders, and develops partnerships that enhance the program’s offerings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the program, including but not limited to: programming, scheduling, attendance and communications
- Communicate with volunteers, families, caregivers program partners
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and community partners to support team members in achieving their desired goals
- Represent the program as a member of the Behavior Management Committee
- Comply with all internal and state regulations, including participation in all inspections, investigations, surveys and audits
- Assist Director of Adult Services with planning and leading staff development activities
- Assist in planning special events (art shows, talent shows, field days, etc.)
- Complete and maintain safety care trainer certification and facilitate training for agency staff as needed
Staff Coordination and Support
- Provide staff with detailed daily activity plans and necessary materials
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, solution-oriented thinking, open mindedness, active listening, good judgment, decisiveness, accountability and strategic thought
- Communicate expectations clearly and maintain a high level of accountability
- Participate in the hiring, training and onboarding of new employees
- Serve as point of contact for programming-related questions and problem -solving during daily operations.
Program Specific Responsibilities:
- Create weekly program schedules based on needs, preferences and goals of team members
- Build program curriculum and create materials as needed
- Provide direct services as needed
- Ensure programming supplies and materials are available as needed
- Adhere to all Keshet policies and procedures
- Additional responsibilities as needed and assigned by Director, e.g. committee participation, in-service training for the agency, attendance at special meetings, etc.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- At least 2 years of day program management experience
- State of Illinois Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) certification preferred
- Valid IL driver's license and safe driving record
