POSITION TITLE: Clinical Manager

SUPERVISOR: Director of Education

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-time / Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Manager oversees the day to day operations and supervision of related services providers of the Keshet Education programs, including the elementary/middle school, high school, and transition program. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the programmatic success of Keshet’s Therapeutic Day Schools ensuring seamless team management and development, related service delivery within the therapeutic milieu delivery, and quality control and evaluation. The Clinical Manager is a key external face of Keshet in the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision of related services in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Illinois State Board of Education.
  • Provide instructional mentoring and supervision to related services providers such as occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, and lead paraeducators; including instructional coaching, data collection and assessment, and behavior management.
  • Supervises the integration of therapeutic modalities into the highly individualized special education curriculum.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for the mission of Keshet.

Team Management and Development

  • Recruit, hire, and oversee training, orientation, supervision, development and performance review of related services staff.
  • Oversees and coordinates the training schedule of all related service staff members
  • Cultivate relationships directly with Parents, Teachers and Staff on a daily basis
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective relations with partnering agencies.
  • Ensure that Keshet is continuing to execute Best Practices in within the Programming Curriculum

Program Operational Management

  • Provide leadership in the planning, development, implementation, review and evaluation of administrative procedures.
  • Maintain structure teaching within all classrooms or search for Best Practices within the field of Special Education
  • Reviews related service provider documentation to ensure the provision and recording of direct and consultative minutes.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and attractive school environment.
  • Evaluate the program on a continuous basis
  • Reviews related service provider documentation to ensure the provision and recording of direct and consultative minutes.
  • Successfully complete and maintain training in Safety Care Certification and be able to utilize these techniques when needed to ensure students’ safety.
  • Maintain an assigned caseload in their discipline area providing direct and consult services.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Qualifications

QUALIFICAITONS:

  • Masters’ degree in Special Education, Education, or related field required; with a Type 75 Certification or Type 75 Certification eligible. Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs.
  • At least five years of experience in a related services discipline at a regular and special education school. Previous school administration experience preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully complete Safety Care Certification Training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to navigate classrooms, aid with student care as needed, including assisting with student hygiene.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the facility
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
