Educational Technology TeacherKey ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Curriculum

  • Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate technology classes for students in grades K–8
  • Develop and implement a cohesive scope and sequence for educational technology aligned with school goals and standards
  • Teach core competencies such as:
  • Digital literacy and keyboarding
  • Coding and computational thinking
  • Research and information evaluation
  • Digital citizenship and online safety
  • Multimedia creation and presentation tools
  • Appropriate use of artificial intelligence
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Technology Integration

  • Partner with classroom teachers to integrate technology into curriculum and instruction
  • Recommend tools and strategies to support innovative teaching practices
  • Provide support for project-based learning and interdisciplinary initiatives

Faculty Support & Professional Development

  • Serve as a resource for faculty on educational technology tools and best practices
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers
  • Help evaluate and recommend new educational technologies

Digital Citizenship & School Culture

  • Promote responsible, ethical, and safe use of technology
  • Help students understand digital responsibility, including online behavior and media literacy
  • Support school-wide initiatives related to technology use and policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Teaching certification preferred
  • Experience teaching technology or integrating technology in a K–8 setting
  • Strong knowledge of current educational technology tools and trends
  • Familiarity with coding platforms (e.g., Scratch, robotics, or similar tools)
  • Understanding of child development across elementary and middle school grades
