Full job description
Educational Technology TeacherKey ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Curriculum
- Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate technology classes for students in grades K–8
- Develop and implement a cohesive scope and sequence for educational technology aligned with school goals and standards
- Teach core competencies such as:
- Digital literacy and keyboarding
- Coding and computational thinking
- Research and information evaluation
- Digital citizenship and online safety
- Multimedia creation and presentation tools
- Appropriate use of artificial intelligence
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Technology Integration
- Partner with classroom teachers to integrate technology into curriculum and instruction
- Recommend tools and strategies to support innovative teaching practices
- Provide support for project-based learning and interdisciplinary initiatives
Faculty Support & Professional Development
- Serve as a resource for faculty on educational technology tools and best practices
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers
- Help evaluate and recommend new educational technologies
Digital Citizenship & School Culture
- Promote responsible, ethical, and safe use of technology
- Help students understand digital responsibility, including online behavior and media literacy
- Support school-wide initiatives related to technology use and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, or related field
- Teaching certification preferred
- Experience teaching technology or integrating technology in a K–8 setting
- Strong knowledge of current educational technology tools and trends
- Familiarity with coding platforms (e.g., Scratch, robotics, or similar tools)
- Understanding of child development across elementary and middle school grades
