Position Overview

These roles involve teaching 3rd-5th grade students on

  • Sundays and from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM or 12 PM to 2 PM
  • Sundays AND either Wednesday or Thursday afternoons, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Candidate Profile

The organization seeks teachers who possess a genuine passion for Jewish education.

Qualifications
  • Presence: A warm, kind, and enthusiastic demeanor with the ability to connect with children in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with a curriculum that encompasses Hebrew decoding, tefillah, Torah study, Jewish holidays, values, and customs.
  • Teaching Methods: Ability to engage children through stories, art projects, games, movement, and conversation.
  • Experience: Previous experience in day camps or classrooms is advantageous. Fluency in Hebrew is also a plus.
Session Structure

Each session will include a 10-minute snack break and 20 minutes of music facilitated by a music teacher, and a 20-minute Tefillah class once a week. A teen assistant will be available to support the teacher and the classroom.
