Our Hospice team has immediate openings for a part time Evening/Night Nurses to provide end of life care to patients in Montgomery County every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday on call from 5pm to 8:30am each night.

Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and emergency care visits to patients as assigned and triaged by on call service
• Make phone calls to assigned patients to triage symptoms
• Provides follow up phone calls to assess efficacy of recommended treatments
• Carries out full admissions when needed
• Provide visits to confirm absence of vital signs unless families decline visits

Qualifications:

• An active RN license to practice in the State of Maryland
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care and/or hospice experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide meaningful care to communicate with the terminally ill.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient Microsoft Office 365 and EMR systems skills. HCHB knowledge preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable, independent transportation to provide care to hospice patients around Montgomery County.
