Our Hospice team has immediate openings for full time On-Call Evening/Night Nurses to provide end of life care to patients in Northern Virginia: Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, City of Alexandria, and City of Arlington. Must be available for one of these two schedules:

1. Weekday Schedule - Monday 5pm through Friday 8:30am
2. Weekend Schedule - Friday 5pm through Monday 8:30am

Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and emergency care visits to patients as assigned and triaged by on call service
• Make phone calls to assigned patients to triage symptoms
• Provides follow up phone calls to assess efficacy of recommended treatments
• Carries out full admissions when needed
• Provide visits to confirm absence of vital signs unless families decline visits

Qualifications:

• An active State of Virginia RN license, and a minimum of 3 years of acute care and/or hospice experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide meaningful care to communicate with the terminally ill.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient Microsoft Office 365 and EMR systems skills.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable, independent transportation to provide care to hospice patients in Northern Virginia.
