JSSA is looking for a Clinical Director with a background in hospice/palliative care and a passion for team leadership and process optimization to become a key contributor to our impactful Hospice program in Montgomery County. This full-time role is an integral part of our hospice leadership team and will assume oversight of the Intake, Admissions, and Sales teams and their corresponding processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end admissions process, ensuring a seamless transition from initial referral to full admission
  • Lead the liaisons in their annual referral goal settings and ensuring they meet the required quota
  • Manage a full staff of intake and discharge coordinators, admission nurses and marketing liaisons
  • Collaborate with weekend supervisor and weekend intake coordinators to provide continuity of care as it relates to admissions
  • Collaborate closely with nurse liaisons and Hospice physicians to determine pre-eligibility of hospice referrals in a timely fashion
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new staff members
  • Consistently review and optimize the referral, intake, admissions and discharge processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred
  • Active RN license to practice in the state of Maryland
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical Hospice or Home Care experience (Admission Nurse, field-based Hospice Nurse, Inpatient Unit Hospice Nurse, or Nurse Manager)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing and providing direction to nursing staff
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills for effective interaction with the public, referral sources, and internal hospice staff
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and electronic medical records
  • Homecare Homebase EMR experience highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and technical aptitude
  • Proficient in generating and analyzing productivity reports and other relevant metrics
