The Clinical Director will report to the Sr. Hospice Director and will be responsible for clinical oversight of all nursing functions of the JSSA's hospice program in Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical oversight and direction to clinical managers and supervisors for all nursing and social work functions related to case management and admissions.
• Leads strategic business development and planning processes in concert with the organizations strategic plan to grow the Virginia hospice program.
• Ensures quality standards are maintained and, identifies and remediates learning needs of clinical staff.
• Works with the Hospice Sr. Director to ensure budgetary compliance.
• Is trained and knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and ensures compliance by all nursing staff.
• Recruits, trains, and onboards new staff.
• Manages and trains staff on any changes or updates to the electronic medical record system.
• Attends program and Agency required Leadership meetings; acts as an ambassador for the Hospice Program and JSSA in the community, and on assigned committees and task forces.

Qualifications

• Hospice experience with advanced certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
• RN license able to practice in VA
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Administration or related field
• Demonstrated customer service, organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment skills
• Demonstrated writing and communication skills
• Sensitively manages confidential information
• Highly proficient skills with Microsoft Office 365 applications, and with the Homecare Homebase Electronic Medical Record System
