Development Operations Coordinator
The Development Operations Coordinator reports to the Director of Development and Operations and plays an integral role in the Development Department, which raises critical funds so JSSA can carry out its mission. This position works collaboratively with all members of the Development Team, supporting the department on a range of fundraising and development functions with a strong emphasis on database management, reporting and hygiene. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day administration of donor CRM (Virtuous) – including but not limited to daily review of processed donations, report generation, data hygiene, and data integrity.
- Ensure gifts are accurately recorded and promptly acknowledged; work with colleagues across the team to facilitate the acknowledgement and tribute processes.
- Research, review, and make recommendations on how to increase functionality and efficiency using new technology, apps, and system capabilities.
- Key partner in the development and documentation of business processes to comprehensively track all constituent information and activity in the database.
- Support practices to accurately and comprehensively track and document all constituent information and activity in the database.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and Operations to create, implement, and maintain standard reports and dashboards for all portfolio managers.
- Produce reports on various data points within the database including but not limited to donation tracking, giving trends, campaign progress, and event analytics.
- Serve as database expert.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform database impact analysis for proposed updates.
- Liaise with the Finance Department on monthly revenue reconciliation.
- Work closely with project managers in coordinating events through Virtuous, or other digital platforms if needed.
- Provide the Development Department with database support and possible training paths; interact with staff throughout the department and organization at large and perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated practical database experience and support in either the private or nonprofit sector; exceptional database skills including high-level data entry, tracking and analyzing of data, producing reports; knowledge of Virtuous a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and priorities.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and social justice issues.
- Self-motivated team player who can also work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Technology-savvy and interested in keeping on top of latest technology trends.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong knowledge and comfort with word processing, spreadsheets, mail merge and other advanced functions.
- Nonprofit fundraising experience or similar organization is preferred.
- Commitment to becoming knowledgeable about JSSA’s impact strategies and programming.
Starting pay $26/hour
