JBN Social Media & Recruitment Intern

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid; in-person events required)

Hours: Part-time (10–15 hours/week)

Compensation: $500/semester stipend

Reports to: Barri Miller, Director of Communications & Engagement

About the Jewish Business Network (JBN)

The Jewish Business Network (JBN) connects professionals across industries in Greater Philadelphia through monthly networking, social, and speaker events. JBN strengthens professional relationships, advances Jewish leadership, and fosters meaningful community.

Position Overview

The Social Media & Recruitment Intern supports JBN’s communications, outreach, and event engagement. Working closely with the Director of Communications & Engagement, this role is ideal for a student or young professional interested in marketing, communications, or nonprofit work.

Responsibilities
  • Attend and assist at JBN events (setup, registration, photography, engagement)
  • Create graphics and social media content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and email campaigns
  • Schedule and post content promoting events and initiatives
  • Support recruitment of new attendees and members
  • Follow up with past attendees to encourage continued engagement
  • Maintain contact and membership databases
  • Provide administrative and creative support as needed
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, and digital outreach
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Mailchimp, or similar)
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Interest in community building or Jewish professional life
