Full job description
The Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland celebrates 150 years of non-profit excellence, with over 500 employees, and has been a Top Places to Work winner for fourteen consecutive years. JFSA's Caring at Home Department has an immediate opening for a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide occupational therapy treatments and services to home care clients under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist in accordance with the Plan of Care. Services are provided under a physician's order and in accordance with home health agency regulations, federal and state laws, and agency policies. Weekday availability preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides services and education/training to clients in their homes following the established Plan of Care and the specific functions identified in the therapy care plan.
- Participates in interdisciplinary activities per Agency guidelines.
- Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and co-workers.
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Performs job in compliance with agency policies and procedures and professional and community standards.
- Demonstrates awareness of, follows all safety policies and procedures, and adheres to all recommended safe work practices. Also contributes to the control of hazards in specified area of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be a graduate of a college-level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current occupational therapy assistant license as required by state(s) of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Current Ohio Driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
Experience:
- Occupational health: 1 year (Required)
Willingness to travel locally via car:
- 75% (Required)
