Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, PRN

JFSA's Caring at Home Department has an immediate opening for a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide occupational therapy treatments and services to home care clients under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist in accordance with the Plan of Care. Services are provided under a physician's order and in accordance with home health agency regulations, federal and state laws, and agency policies. Weekday availability preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides services and education/training to clients in their homes following the established Plan of Care and the specific functions identified in the therapy care plan.
• Participates in interdisciplinary activities per Agency guidelines.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and co-workers.
• Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
• Performs job in compliance with agency policies and procedures and professional and community standards.
• Demonstrates awareness of, follows all safety policies and procedures, and adheres to all recommended safe work practices. Also contributes to the control of hazards in specified area of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be a graduate of a college-level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current occupational therapy assistant license as required by state(s) of practice.
• CPR certification.
• Current Ohio Driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.

Experience:

• Occupational health: 1 year (Required)

Willingness to travel locally via car:

• 75% (Required)
