PRN Driver:
Delivers meals to JFSA clients and transports clients to and from social and medical appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive to Menorah Park kitchen or designated location as scheduled.
- Deliver meals timely, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Complete all meal deliveries, client signature and other documentation as required, accurately and timely.
- Attend mandatory training and in-services.
- Escort clients to and from appointments, providing door to door service. Lifting assistive devices where needed.
- Ensure clients wear their seatbelts.
- Obey all traffic laws, allow enough time for transportation, and ensure there is enough gas in the vehicle.
- Transport client to approved, predetermined locations. Do not make unauthorized stops.
- Contacts dispatcher and/or Home Delivered Meals Coordinator if unable to drive.
- Arrive to pick-up clients in a timely manner to arrive/depart the destination on time.
- Properly documents time and related work activities for accurate payroll and program auditing purposes.
- Communicate all schedule changes, transportation issues, and delivery interruptions to Home Delivered Meals and Transportation Coordinator,
- Demonstrate awareness of, follows all safety policies and procedures, and adheres to all recommended safe work practices. Also contributes to the control of hazards in specified areas of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education/Licensure:
- High School Graduate preferred
- Maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License and a driving record that meets JFSA's insurance company standards
- Must have a reliable personal automobile available oi a daily basis
