This role oversees all enterprise technology, including infrastructure, cloud systems, cybersecurity, data governance, analytics, and user support. The Director leads a hybrid delivery model (internal staff, MSPs, contractors) across multiple physical locations and partners closely with the CFO to execute technology strategy, manage technology risk, and ensure systems align with JFSLA’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, IS, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in complex or multi‑site environments.
  • Experience managing hybrid IT environments, including MSPs, cloud platforms, and outsourced providers.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networks, cloud systems, cybersecurity, telecom, and databases.
  • Experience with ERP, HRIS, CRM, case management, collaboration, and document management platforms.
  • Full life‑cycle project management experience, including enterprise implementations.
  • Budget and long‑term capital planning experience.
  • Understanding of nonprofit or human services technology environments and HIPAA.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team‑building skills.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft/Azure, AWS preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan).

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Infrastructure:

  • Lead daily operations of all infrastructure services including hardware, networks, servers, firewalls, connectivity, endpoints, telecom/VoIP, and cloud systems.
  • Oversee help desk operations and user support functions.
  • Manage MSPs and vendor relationships to ensure service quality and accountability.
  • Ensure backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience plans.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce manual processes.
  • Develop and manage the IT department budget and participate in long-term capital planning.

Data Systems & Platforms:

  • Collaborate with the implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise systems, including Evolv, NetSuite, PantrySoft, Virtuous, and operational platforms.
  • Lead data governance, data quality, accessibility, and reporting improvements.
  • Manage integrations, workflows, and system interoperability.
  • Partner with departments and programs to evaluate technology needs.
  • Provide project leadership for new system deployments and upgrades.

Business Applications:

  • Oversee the administration and optimization of Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms throughout the organization.
  • Ensure effective document management and governance practices.
  • Lead user enablement, training, and adoption of productivity tools.
  • Drive digital transformation projects that improve workflows and organizational efficiency.

Security & License Management:

  • Establish and enforce IT security policies, controls, and HIPAA‑aligned procedures.
  • Oversee cybersecurity operations, identity and access management, MFA, and endpoint protection.
  • Manage software licensing, vendor contracts, renewals, and technology purchasing.
  • Lead cybersecurity risk mitigation and incident response.
  • Maintain documentation for compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, especially the CFO, on technology strategy, risk, and capital planning.
  • Prepare progress, performance, and risk reports.
  • Lead internal staff and external partners (i.e., MSP), fostering a service‑oriented culture.
  • Ensure effective change management during system transitions.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
