Psychological Examiner (Exempt)

Summary:
Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, the Psychological Examiner provides and/or administers psychological and learning assessments.
Essential Functions
- Interviews parents/caregivers and children as a part of the assessment process.
- Develops an evaluation plan based on the individual child’s needs.
- Administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests including psychodiagnostic assessment of intellectual abilities, academic skills and behavior.
- Prepares written, comprehensive assessment reports with client recommendations, based upon testing results.
- Provides client follow-up interviews to ensure effective implementation of recommendations.
- Completes other program required documentation.
- Demonstrates teamwork and support of the JFS mission and values.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Complies with all company policies and standards.

Education: Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling, education, or related field and/or Educational Specialist Degree
Work Experience: A minimum of three years of experience post-masters experience using psychometric methods, statistical procedures, and their applications in educational, behavioral/emotional and/or developmental assessments. Experience in the use of computer applications and testing software programs and in Psychological/Educational/Developmental testing, testing analysis and interpretation of results.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Training in psychometric methods and statistical procedures as their applications in psychological assessment.
- Training in administration and interpretation of psychological tests, including cognitive, academic, behavioral and personality testing.
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
