Volunteer Coordinator

Bring your skills to JFS to ensure that more than 15,000 people each year receive the food they need, offered with dignity and respect. The Volunteer Coordinator supervises and supports pantry volunteers and plans, coordinates, and directs key functions of the volunteer program. This includes volunteer recruitment, recognition/retention activities, agency orientation, compliance, and training staff to work with volunteers.
The volunteer coordinator provides guest support and inspects, sorts and stocks food as needed. The coordinator also maintains volunteer schedules, records and other administrative systems.
Salary range:
$55,000-$75,000. Competitive benefit package
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, nonprofit administration, or related experience required
Experience in staff and/or volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision
Knowledge of best practice standards
