POSITION FUNDING & STABILITY

This position is funded through a long-standing government contract that supports community-based mental health services. Like many roles within the nonprofit and public service sectors, this is a grant-funded position with the current funding cycle extending through June 30, 2026. Jewish Family & Community Services East Bay has held this contract for decades, and it is historically renewed every three years.

While we remain confident in our continued partnership with the County, we believe in full transparency with prospective team members. The broader landscape of community mental health is currently shifting, with potential changes at the state (Proposition 1) and federal levels (e.g., Medicaid funding for Medi-Cal through HR 1) that may impact funding structures in the future.

Despite these shifts, we are deeply committed to the communities we serve and to the staff who carry out this critical work. Our leadership is actively engaged in planning and advocacy to navigate these changes responsibly.

Final offer letters for this position will reflect the grant-funded nature of the role as part of our transparent hiring practices. We encourage applicants who are passionate about community mental health and public service to apply, understanding that this type of funding structure is common in the nonprofit and behavioral health sectors.
