The Jewish Women’s Archive (JWA) offers internships typically 5–10 hours/week that can be virtual, hybrid, or in-person (office in Newton, MA). While internships are unpaid, JWA will work with your college/university/institution to secure funding or course credit. Intern projects may include: assisting with revisions to the Shalvi/Hyman Encyclopedia of Jewish Women; working with oral history materials (transcribing, cataloguing, preparing for online exhibition); researching/writing entries for “This Week in History”; contributing to social media; assisting with marketing for events and programs. Experience & Qualifications: strong writing skills; detail-oriented; ability to work independently and collaboratively; reliably meets deadlines; excellent computer skills; keen interest in the history of Jewish women and feminism; background in history, gender studies, or Jewish Studies (public history interest a plus).
