We currently have an open opportunity for a Staffing Coordinator/ Scheduler within our West Bloomfield campus.

Position Overview: The Staffing Coordinator leads the Personal Care Attendants and Med Passers by setting a positive example, being visible, involved, accessible, and helping the staff with their professional growth. They assist with the hiring and training of new Personal Care Attendants and Med Passers while maintaining work schedules to meet resident census needs.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling of all Personal Care Attendants, Med-Passers and Agency Staff as needed.
• Manage position control, holiday rotation, set schedules, staff assignments.
• Track attendance of PCA and Med Passer staff and complete bi-weekly payroll.
• Schedule and conduct Interviews and hiring of PCAs and Med Passers.
• Lead new hire orientation.
• Conduct floor orientations and continuing education with PCAs and Med Passers in partnership with DON.
• Train and monitor staff on the use of training portals (Relias Learning).
• Ensure compliance by monitoring completion of all state guidelines as well as employee annual competency checklist and TB screening.
• Availability to be on call to address staff shortages and make scheduling adjustments.
• Train on medication passing and med cart and act as back-up for PCAs and Med Passers during shortages.

• 2+ years proven experience in scheduling in an assisted living environment.
• Knowledge of medical staffing scheduling processes.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to change priorities with little to no notice.
• Proficient in Microsoft office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
