Zoom Host/Tech Facilitator
About the Job:
JRC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Zoom Host/Tech Facilitator to support our virtual and hybrid services and programs by managing Zoom and related technologies.

JRC, one of the Reconstructionist movement’s largest congregations with about 430 households, sits on the border of Evanston and Chicago, creating a special mix of suburban and city culture. Our members represent a beautiful diversity of Jewish observance, gender and sexual identity, race, and interfaith families. We are a hands-on, highly collaborative congregation with members leading many aspects of community life with our dynamic staff and clergy.
Salary & Hours
This role is part-time, non-exempt, and pays $15-20 hourly, commensurate with experience. We are looking for coverage for the following on-site shifts:
- Fridays from 6:30–8:30 PM - beginning September 18, 2026
- Saturdays from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM - beginning September 19, 2026
- Opportunity for additional shifts as needed
- Paid training will be scheduled prior to start date

Essential Functions
Essential job functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Set up tech for in-person/hybrid events
- Launch Zoom meetings using JRC accounts
- Manage the waiting room, monitor chat, mute/unmute participants as needed
- Record meetings and manage basic Zoom features (screen sharing, spotlighting, breakout rooms, etc.) as needed
- Provide real-time technical support, including audio/video troubleshooting
- Implement Zoom safety protocols

- Skilled at managing tech needs, capacity to understand A/V equipment
- Warm and friendly demeanor; comfortable interacting with new people
- Willingness to learn, or knowledge of Jewish traditions and practices
- Self-starter, ability to act in a proactive and anticipatory manner, with the ability to adapt as needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask during live events
- Calm, responsive presence under pressure
