We’re hiring enthusiastic people to be a part of our teaching team this fall! Our innovative learning community, Kehillah (community), helps learners learn on Jewish time, meeting Saturday mornings for toddlers through 6thgrade. The Work:

  • Work with a specific age group of learners in a Saturday morning religious school setting (sessions are 9:30 am – noon)
  • Plan meaningful, engaging, and fun activities based on the curriculum
  • Communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with learners, parents, and madrichim
  • Grow your teaching practice through teacher meetings and professional development opportunities

The People:

  • Model enthusiasm and curiosity about Jewish life
  • Love spending time with children and have experience leading learning experiences (at religious school, camp, as a teen, or other settings)
  • Embrace the diversity of our community, including race, income, sexual orientation, gender expression, disability, and interfaith/multifaith status
  • Are ready to build and maintain a positive and collaborative classroom culture
  • Are dependable and can communicate effectively with learners, families, and staff
  • Are highly collaborative and love working as a team

Details:

  • Compensation begins at $35/hour and is commensurate with experience above that rate. Prep time, professional development, and meetings for planning and support are compensated!
  • The school year includes approximately 25 Saturday sessions from September 2026 to May 2027.
  • Kehillah Team Orientation will be on Sunday, August 30th from about 10-4pm.
