Position Summary
As the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), you will lead the strategic direction and execution of all organizational marketing inititivaves.You will operate as a mission-driven leader responsible for shaping and executing the marketing, branding, collateral, and communication strategies in alignment with our mission, vision, donor experience, fundraising, and impact goals. You will be responsible for organization-wide content creation and dissemination to JPSAs varied stakeholders. In this role, you have the opportunity to elevate the organization’s visibility, grow community engagement, and strengthen donor relationships across all platforms in order to increase impact. The CMCO is a collaborative team leader, supervising M&C team members, working closely with the Development, Impact and Engagement, and Foundation teams, and the organization’s President and CEO.

Essential Objectives
· Developing and implementing strategic marketing and communication plans that align with the organization’s strategic objectives and target audiences
· Ensuring the marketing and communications team delivers effective campaigns and collateral to generate new volunteer and donor leads, increase brand awareness, and drive impact and engagement growth
· Managing marketing and communications budgets, allocating resouces effectively, and optimizing spending to achieve maximum ROI
· Fostering relationships with key vendors and media outlets to maximize marketing reach and impact
· Collaborating with various organization department teams to ensure a seamless alignment and the execution of marketing initiatives
· Leading and mentoring organization and contracted marketing professionals, providing guidance, feedback, support, and responsiveness to drive excellence in marketing execution
· Acting as a brand ambassador, representing the organization’s values and maintaining consistent brand identity across all touchpoints.
Your Tasks
· Develop, articulate, and execute the overall marketing and communications strategy in alignment with the organization’s fundraising, engagement, and impact objectives
· Drive brand positioning and differentiation to enhance engagement and brand awareness in target markets
· Oversee the creation of captivating marketing and communications collateral, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, advertisements, press releases, digital content, cultivation and solicitation decks, and event collateral
· Execute comprehensive marketing and communications campaigns, including web, email, print, radio, billboard, and other
· Establish and optimize multi-channel and targeting marketing and communications efforts to reach various stakeholders/target audiences
· Monitor and analyze relevant trends, insights, data analytics, and similar activities to identify growth opportunties and maintain a competitive edge
· Author, edit articles, press releases, speeches and other organization communications
· Meet with department leadership to assess needs and plan accordingly; set and keep marketing calendar and workflow timeline
· Support organization partners through managing and executing the community calendar and Jewish newspaper; lead marketing and communications committee
· Cultivate relationships with local media, serve as contact for media outlets, and monitor media coverage
Required Qualifications
Related Experience
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 10 years relevant experience with demonstrated success as a marketing/communications professional; minimum 7 years of relevant experience working in an active marketing and/or communications role, plus3 years of experience in a leadership capacity, including staff supervision and budget development
· Proven track record of developing, managing, and executing wide-ranging marketing and communications initiatives
· Familiarity with marketing automation and digital tools; advanced skills in social media and digital platforms including, but not limited to MailChimp, Hootsuite, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram
· Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
· Understanding of data privacy and protection and implications for marketing activities
· Proficiency in public relations, growth development strategies, donor, volunteer (customer) experience enrichment, analytics and data-led marketing
· Exceptional written, verbal and editorial communication skills, with the ability to keep messaging consistent with JPSA’s mission, vision, values, and strategy
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to leverage data and insight for informed decision-making

· Passion for the work of JPSA and its work to sustain, support and enrich the Jewish community locally, in Israel, and worldwide
