Assistant to the CEO (Full-Time)
Location: Onsite – 5 days/week in our Jerusalem office

About the Role

Jewish News Syndicate (JNS), the fastest-growing news agency covering Israel and the Jewish world, is seeking a full-time Assistant to the CEO to provide high-level support and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

This role includes managing incoming inquiries, managing and following up on key projects, prioritizing initiatives, helping produce the CEO’s podcast, running personal social media channels, and overseeing the CEO’s schedule and travel.

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with prior experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and able to anticipate the CEO’s needs. They must also have excellent communication skills and strong judgment.

This person will act as a strategic gatekeeper to the CEO, ensuring time and resources are allocated to the highest-impact opportunities. Above all, they must demonstrate discretion, reliability, and sound judgment.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage incoming inquiries across multiple platforms, and manage CEO communications, identifying high-value opportunities and driving follow-through
  • Track and manage key initiatives using project management tools, ensuring accountability and momentum
  • Serve as a gatekeeper to the CEO, ensuring time and attention are focused on top priorities and delegating lower priority tasks to other team members
  • Regularly review priorities with the CEO and ensure timely execution
  • Prepare materials including meeting notes, presentations, memos, and correspondence
  • Help prepare scripts for CEO’s weekly podcast
  • Assist in management and posting on CEO’s social media accounts
  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, and travel logistics (flights, hotels, transportation)
  • Prepare the CEO for meetings and trips, including stakeholder briefings and follow-ups
  • Conduct research and prepare presentations or speeches
  • Coordinate internal and external events, ensuring seamless execution
  • Project management of varying initiatives

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in executive support, operations, or a similar role
  • Fluent in Hebrew and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of U.S.–Israel relations, the pro-Israel media landscape and diaspora Jewish issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often handling tasks during non-conventional hours
  • Team player
  • Strong judgment and ability to quickly identify priorities and opportunities
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with a “no task too big or small” mindset
  • Professional and discreet, with experience handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in the Knesset or diplomacy (a plus)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and Slack
  • Professional experience with social media, AI, and other digital tools
  • Familiarity with American and global Jewish nonprofits; nonprofit and donor relations experience is a plus.
