Position Overview
Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) is seeking an experienced Product Director to create and implement an integrated, forward-thinking strategy across all JNS products (social media, website and video). This role will ensure that our content is presented effectively within a unified and strategic ecosystem, with each product supporting and complementing the others, in English and other languages.
This position is responsible for product development, innovation and optimization, with a focus on maximizing traffic and engagement, continuously showcasing JNS’s high standards of accuracy and journalistic integrity across multiple platforms. The Product Director will keep a constant eye towards innovation, including technologies and formats that can streamline workflows, improve engagement, and continuously propel JNS ahead of the curve, in a competitive and rapidly evolving media landscape.
The Product Director will work closely with the Video Production, Editorial and Marketing departments, all of which are responsible for various JNS products and platforms. The Product Director will ensure seamless collaboration between departments and content producers. You will play a pivotal role in guiding and implementing long-term content strategy, innovation, and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a unified content and product strategy across all platforms
- Lead and support senior team members across editorial, video, podcast and social media teams
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality content, programming, and production schedules across all channels
- Drive audience growth through data-led insights and performance analysis
- Improve upon existing content formats, series, and product initiatives, and launch new initiatives
- Expand content output aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with marketing, social, analytics, and commercial teams to maximize reach, traffic and engagement
- Maintain brand consistency across all channels, formats, and outputs.
- Monitor industry trends and evolving media formats to keep JNS competitive and continuously innovating
- Manage content and production budgets with transparency and efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required
- 10+ years of experience in digital media, journalism, video production, or content leadership.
- Native English speaker with a strong understanding of the American audience and global Jewish communities
- Strong team player and proven ability to work alongside senior managers and lead multi-layered teams.
- Demonstrated success overseeing multimedia content operations and production pipelines.
- Understanding of digital storytelling.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Highly organized with strong project-management capabilities.
- Familiarity with online news platforms, analytics dashboards, and production tools.
- Experience in audience development, growth strategies, and digital marketing.
