Jewish Funders Network is an international community of private foundations and philanthropists whose mission is to promote meaningful giving and to improve philanthropy in the Jewish world. We have more than 2,500 members from 11 countries.

This full-time position will support JFN’s membership and program departments and will fulfill administrative duties for CANVAS, a sponsored organization in JFN that funds Jewish arts and culture. The assistant’s time will be divided equally between these two entities. S/he will report to JFN’s VP of Programming[TSG1] and to the CANVAS COO. S/he will also provide additional support for periodic event planning and our annual international conference. JFN and CANVAS offices are located in New York City and Northampton, MA, respectively. Applicants can work in either location or fully remote.

Specific tasks of this role include:

· Event Planning:

o Arrangement of meeting spaces/catering for multiple events throughout the year, and coordination of all related vendors.

o Running program conference registration reports

o Reconciling lists against each other (like the hotel list vs. registration list)

o Sending follow-up emails for payments

o Ordering supplies

o Processing payment

· Managing general email inboxes and responding to questions about programs, annual JFN conference and CANVAS

· Managing calendars and scheduling meetings across multiple calendars

· Meeting prep and sharing out documents ahead of time

· Staff and note taking at meetings

· Submit payments for consultants and vendors as required

· Ability to lean and work in a content management system (Nationbuilder preferred)

· Help to prepare and edit RFPs, grantee reports, and additional materials

· Provide administrative support for fundraising efforts and donor outreach[SB2] [RS3]

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Approximately 3-5 years’ experience with non-profits, philanthropy, or related fields preferred.

· Very strong attention to detail, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to communicate with staff, grantees, and supporters in clear and concise manner.

· Ability to work independently, quickly, and accurately.

· Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Suite (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and overall comfort with learning new software and applications for business use.

· Positive attitude and flexible with ever changing priorities.
